Lara Trump, host of The Right View podcast, sat down with Tim Graham, Executive Editor of NewsBusters and Brittany Hughes, Managing Editor of MRCTV on Tuesday night to talk about the biased media coverage leading up to the election and dish about former White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre’s disastrous book tour.
NewsBusters covered three high-profile races involving Democratic candidates who have made shocking statements in their past, but ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS, had very little to nothing to say about them. Graham noted this bias by omission extends to every Democrat scandal
“I’ve been working at the Media Research Center since 1989, and it’s been obvious for a long time, how they cover scandals. We all know they completely over hype Republican scandals and pretend that Democratic scandals don’t exist. Or they’re just a horrible exercise in Republicans pouncing and seizing. So obviously in this case, they’re just going to say, if the Republicans are investigating something, it is not news.
If Senator Grassley is investigating something, it’s not news. If Congressman Jordan or Congressman Comer are investigating something, it’s not news. If Nancy Pelosi convenes a January 6 committee complete with two fake Republicans who do everything she says, that’s the most important committee in the history of the House of Representatives, and every word they say should be covered live on every network. And it’s that dramatic difference where it’s like one one party’s investigations are the most important non-partisan investigation ever, and Republican investigations are just like they don’t exist.”
Trump asked Hughes how she thought Karine Jean-Pierre’s book tour was going. Hughes didn’t hold back!
“What I struggle to understand is just how bad this has gone. Did anybody actually watch her press briefings? They were terrible. She’s never been able to string a sentence together. This is what happens when you hire somebody for their identity and not because they’re actually good at their job. We saw it all through the Biden administration. Karine Jean-Pierre would stand up there, she would give completely incoherent, gobbledygook answers. And of course, you didn’t get media pushback on that. If the Trump spokesperson had ever stood up in front of the press and put their foot in it so badly, then that would have just been mocked for days, but Karine Jean-Pierre gets away with it. I will admit that I have not read her book. I have baseboards that I need to dust and other things that are much more important.”
