Order Michael Finch’s new book, A Time to Stand: HERE. Prof. Jason Hill calls it “an aesthetic and political tour de force.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center took a victory lap after the death of David Horowitz, celebrating the passing of a man whom the leftist group shamelessly smeared as a “longtime anti-Muslim hate figure” and “a force in organized bigotry” and then attacked “mentees of his like Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA and Stephen Miller” for publicly honoring his memory.
The SPLC did everything it could to destroy the man himself and his work at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, leveling false charges, putting us on a list of ‘hate groups’, and campaigning for our debanking. In 2020, an SPLC official bragged in her congressional testimony to the House Subcommittee on National Security that her organization had gotten Mastercard and Visa to cut off donations to the Freedom Center. (We undid that and beat the SPLC at its own game.)
David is dead, but the Southern Poverty Law Center isn’t done coming after us. Its recent ‘intelligence’ report tried to pressure funds to cut off donations to us and to Turning Point USA. It listed us in its report on ‘Decoding the Plan to Undo Democracy’ and now our reporting on Mamdani triggered the latest attack from the hate group that claims to track ‘hate groups’.
The SPLC claimed that the David Horowitz Freedom Center was part of a “movement of interconnected groups and figures disciplined in their messaging to frame Islam as a subversive threat to the U.S.” by spreading “racist misinformation and bigoted conspiracy theories.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center denounced “FrontPage Magazine, housed under the hate group David Horowitz Freedom Center” and accused me of “demographic alarmism” for demonstrating the rapid growth of New York City’s Muslim migrant population so that it had already outstripped the city’s indigenous Italian, Irish and, soon, Jewish population.
According to the SPLC, listing these statistics is dangerous “racist misinformation”.
The Southern Poverty Law Center was also furious at Islam expert Robert Spencer, complaining that Front Page Magazine’s “Jamie Glazov invited anti-Muslim hate group leader Robert Spencer to his online hate program The Glazov Gang to opine about how Mamdani’s victory represents the ‘suicide of the west.’”
The SPLC also denounced Spencer’s suggestion that Mamdani’s victory will lead to a “rise in the jihad activity” in New York, but a day before the SPLC published its smears, an Islamist and Marxist mob had assailed a synagogue in Manhattan with Mamdani’s approval. Spencer’s warning had come true even before the Southern Poverty Law Center could lie about it.
But the only ‘hate’ that the SPLC, which falsely claims to be a civil rights organization, cares about is opposition to its radical ‘red-green alliance’ of Marxists and Islamists. The SPLC doesn’t care about even the most basic facts which is why it tried to dismiss Spencer by referring to “Mamdani’s alleged socialist policies” when the Muslim politician brags about being a socialist, and his signature policies were free buses and government grocery stores.
Caleb Kieffer, the same writer who authored this smear against Spencer and the Freedom Center, had previously implied that Robert Spencer was linked to “Hindu Supremacists.” According to the SPLC’s panel, “Hindu supremacy as an ideology, at its core, is a genocidally anti-Muslim ideology” and Robert Spencer, who is Christian, is somehow responsible for it.
In 2025, most people are far more worried about being shot, stabbed or run over by Muslim supremacist terrorists like Shamsud-Din Jabbar’s terrorist attack that killed 14 people in New Orleans, Mohamed Soliman’s firebombing of elderly Jewish people commemorating the victims of Oct 7 in Boulder, or the multiple Muslim mass stabbing attacks in European cities.
While the SPLC warns us about the mythical threat of ‘Hindu Supremacism’ (who can forget when 19 Hindu supremacists hijacked planes and flew them into buildings, the time that Hindu supremacists murdered over 1,000 people in one day in October, or when Hindu supremacists bombed the Boston Marathon), it intimidates anyone who dares mention Islamic supremacism.
The SPLC profiles Christian, Jewish, and Hindu organizations it accuses of hate, but makes no mention of Islamic supremacism. In a world where Muslims massacre thousands of Christians, Jews, Hindus and Buddhists, the SPLC insists Christians, Jews and Hindus can only be the perpetrators of ‘hate’ and the Muslim terrorists who kill them can only be the victims of ‘hate’.
That is why the SPLC hates and fears truthtellers like the late David Horowitz, like Robert Spencer and Jamie Glazov, and like the Freedom Center which continues telling the truth.
And the truth is that Islamic supremacist violence is the real threat, that it’s universal in its violence and global in scope, that it has killed 200,000 people in just 11 years, that September 11 was not, as the SPLC puts it, the mere work of “extremists associated with al-Qaida”, but just another day in the Jihad against non-Muslims that has been going on for over 1,000 years.
The SPLC complained that “Spencer went further on his hate blog Jihad Watch, claiming that ‘Mamdani’s victory is an indication of how much of a victory 9/11 was for the global jihad.’”
The Southern Poverty Law Center attaches ‘hate’ to all of its targets, but it’s the SPLC that is covering up for actual hate and it’s the David Horowitz Freedom Center that exposes it.
When Mamdani posed with an Imam who called for ‘Jihad’ and the death of gay people, it was the Freedom Center, not the SPLC, which exposed it. When Muslim mobs attacked synagogues in New York, New Jersey and Los Angeles, we were the ones called for action while the SPLC stayed silent and was too busy hunting for those dangerous “Hindu supremacists”.
The SPLC has been targeting the David Horowitz Freedom Center for twenty years. And despite everything the radical leftist group has done to try to silence us, deplatform us, debank us and shut us down, we are still here and we will never stop telling the truth about Islam.
And about all the other things that the Southern Poverty Law Center doesn’t want us to talk about.
