Unbelievable! Families hadn’t even begun to mourn the horrific loss of life due to flooding in Texas before the blame game began. I don’t want to exaggerate, but I can’t remember a recent tragedy in which leftists haven’t pulled out the “blame Trump” card. What makes it so despicable is that even after their lies are exposed, they never retract or apologize for getting it wrong. They just keep lying.
It’s like they throw every lie against the wall to see what sticks, to see who will believe it. One of the lies regarding the tragedy in Texas was that Trump gutted the National Weather Service, therefore, they couldn’t predict the flooding. The Trump administration, as if anticipating the lies, had the receipts. The weather station in New Braunfels, Texas, had additional personnel for the storm.
There were warnings hours before the water began to rise. It quickly rose 20 feet as the storm stalled over the Guadalupe River, dropping inches upon inches of rain. How do you plan for that? They can’t, so first they blame climate change, and then Trump — because they hate him!
During Trump’s first term, I would chuckle whenever someone said “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS). But it’s real! Everything Trump does to improve the lives of Americans sets them off. Comedian Rosie O’Donnell “fled” the country to avoid the policies of President Donald Trump. Yet she constantly pops up on social media to rant against him. Even in Ireland, Trump lives rent-free in her head.
Americans overwhelmingly voted for Trump to close the border, to make our streets safer, and to stop tens of thousands of deaths every year due to fentanyl. But the so-called progressives went ballistic, calling ICE agents the Gestapo. “Why do they wear masks?” the Left asks about law enforcement. Maybe because these officers are being shot at and their families threatened. Leftist are doxing them, a.k.a. publishing their addresses, so the rioters can find them. Yet they have no problem with anti-Semitic protestors wearing masks while chanting, “Death to the Jews!”
A normal person would think it strange that their senator would fly to another country to demand the return of a violent illegal alien gang member. A normal person might also think it strange that a judge would sneak an illegal alien out of her courtroom to avoid his getting arrested by immigration agents.
The list goes on: The mayor of Los Angeles getting in the face of ICE officers doing their job, demanding they leave her city and leave the violent illegal aliens alone. Democrat politicians and Leftmedia talkingheads spinning lies that President Trump is a dictator, law enforcement are Nazis, and our democracy is doomed if Trump is allowed to live.
Words like these may be what inspired two would-be assassins to try to kill Trump. Similarly, because “ICE agents are Nazis,” we now have immigration agents getting ambushed by those same fanatics. I feel like Democrat leaders and their media mouth breathers are purposefully ranting against Trump so that one of their indoctrinated minions will do the assassination job for them. They want to eliminate Trump because they can’t beat him politically.
What a sad life these people must live. What started as just political rhetoric has become imprinted on their brains. They actually believe the lies they’ve spread. I don’t hate them; I actually feel sorry for them. I had an enemy once whom I hated when I was in Vietnam. But what that hate did to me was take away my humanity and the ability to love others as Jesus loves me.
Jesus said, “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” (Matthew 5:44) The Sermon on the Mount has a lot of good material that we can use to reflect Jesus in our actions — especially when dealing with those who hate us. Don’t allow the world to drag you into its insanity and hate. Love others, even leftists, the way Christ loves you!
