Pro-Abortion Culture Is Dangerous And Deadly For Women

Pro-abortion policies and the politically motivated weakening of abortion safeguards are responsible for much harm to women and babies. Less emphasized, however, are the dangerous and deadly consequences those same women and babies suffer due to our increasingly pro-abortion culture.

One such example cropped up last week in Florida, where a 23-year-old man could face the death penalty after he was convicted of murdering his pregnant girlfriend because she did not abort her unborn baby.

A jury found Donovan Faison guilty of first-degree murder, killing an unborn child, and burglary last week after they concluded he “lured” and shot 18-year-old Kaylin Fiengo and her baby in her Nissan Versa during a pre-planned meeting at Coastline Park in Sanford, Florida in 2022. Crime scene investigators reported that Fiengo died next to an ultrasound image of her child.

Fiengo had recently informed Faison with a texted picture of two positive pregnancy tests that she was expecting. Faison not only “erupted” at the news but immediately demanded Fiengo get an “Abortion!!!”

According to the prosecutors, text messages obtained from Faison’s phone suggest he was “angry and felt pressured because he was living with another woman who suspected him of cheating.” In one conversation, Faison appeared to inform his friend he intended to “crop [Fiengo] out.”

There’s no doubt that widespread promotion of abortion for all at any time gives cowardly, sexually degenerate men an out when pregnancy comes into play. When abortifacients abound, men can use Plan Bmail-order mifepristone, or pressure to ensure they don’t have to be a loving and present husband and father.  The predators, abusers, and child traffickers know to take advantage of the baby-killing industry’s deliberate laxities also benefit and profit from the prominence of abortion.

Women who show resistance to such tactics are punished with abortion pill poisonings or, in Fiengo’s case, murder. In fact, 70 percent of abortions are believed to be unwanted, coerced, or inconsistent with the mother’s values and desires.

Because of our culture’s forgiving and even welcoming posture towards abortion, countless babies have died, and the women who wanted them have suffered abortion pill poisonings or coerced abortions that caused them physical, mental, and emotional harm.

This death culture is not limited to Democrat states or marches swamped with pink genital hats. Faison’s hasty “Abortion!!!” reply to Fiengo’s positive pregnancy test text confirms the prominence of “abortion or else” has easily taken hold in pro-life states such as Florida, which passed a 15-week ban on abortions the same year Fiengo was murdered around 14 weeks gestation.

Abortion activists and their abortion-for-all allies in the Democrat party like to pretend that ending an unborn baby’s life is a “choice.” For babies who are aborted before they even had a chance to take a breath, there was no choice. For women like Fiengo, who are harmed and even die because they wanted to protect the little lives in their wombs, there was no choice. In fact, it was Fiengo’s opposition to aborting her unborn baby that motivated Faison to murder her in the first place.

Abortion certainly would have yielded physical, mental, and emotional distress for Fiengo and her family had it happened. Yet, it was the repercussions of radical abortion culture, not even abortion, that ultimately ripped the teen mom and her baby away from the world and left her family, friends, and community to mourn the consequences.
