Anthony Weiner, the man who once upon a time was bound for bigger things, hasn’t had a good month. First his ex, Huma Abedin, married Alex Soros and then his third attempt at a comeback failed when he came in fourth place in a city council race in Manhattan.
The good news is he came away with around 2,700 votes which is 2,699 votes than anyone would have expected him to get.
In a world where an Islamist Communist can have a clear road to becoming mayor of New York City, Weiner still can’t make it.
What’s really crazy is that apart from proposing universal health care and tax hikes, much of Weiner’s platform actually made sense. He proposed increasing the police presence, paying teachers based on working in tough schools, not seniority, institutionalizing the homeless mentally ill, putting shoplifters to work cleaning up streets, and turning over illegal alien repeat offenders to the federal authorities for deportation.
We live in a world where New York City’s political system is so insane that Anthony Weiner is now too sensible to get elected.
