Last week, there was BIG news about the possible prosecution of the “Clinton Russian-Collusion ‘Grand Conspiracy’ Cabal,” the deep-state coup d’état to take down Trump. And that investigation may reach many co-conspirators in the collusion conspiracy fabricated by former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey. It could open a floodgate of prosecutions.
If you missed that, it’s because all the news cycle bandwidth was, and continues to be, sucked up by Attorney General Pam Bondi’s latest revelation on the Epstein files that there is no Epstein black-book client list.
After Bondi’s February “big reveal,” which turned into a clown show because the DOJ’s 200-page Epstein document dump she released to a confab of MAGA social media influencers had virtually nothing new in it, she then rampaged that the FBI was concealing something and she would demand all the files be released.
Now, in Bondi’s latest reveal, she claims that, despite affirming Epstein had hundreds of videotapes of encounters with underage girls, there is “nothing to see here; move along.”
Taking well-deserved fire from many conservatives for her reversal, Donald Trump came to Bondi’s defense by criticizing a cross section of his most loyal constituents for being discontent, instead of telling Bondi to take a hike after her botched PR stunt.
As Nate Jackson noted yesterday, in a Truth Social post Trump blamed Demos for the Epstein files hoax and then dropped a hammer on his own base for believing what Bondi told them in February: “Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bulls***,’ hook, line, and sinker. They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years … Let these weaklings continue forward and do the Democrats work … I don’t want their support anymore!”
It was not just Bondi who amped up the Epstein client list conspiracy. During his 2024 campaign, Trump referenced the Epstein files multiple times and promised he would release them.
Now Trump insists that the Epstein issue is “old news,” adding: “The 2020 Election was Rigged and Stolen, and they tried to do the same thing in 2024 — That’s what [Bondi] is looking into as AG, and much more.” That was a reference to the “Grand Conspiracy” deep-state coup d’état investigation.
But Trump added, “ Let’s…not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about.”
Well, some of his MAGA base supporters certainly do care about it, not only because Bondi teed up the big reveal of those files five months ago, but because some of those high-profile social media influencers at Bondi’s confab have spent a lot of chatter bandwidth since Epstein’s death in 2019 promoting speculation that there is a “client list.” They, and now by extension their fanbase, insist there is a blackmail black book of high-profile individuals to whom Epstein served up underage girls, and secretly recorded those encounters. Having in part, built their following (and ad revenue streams) on this speculation as if it were indisputable fact, their credibility is now on the line. (BTW I suspect all this Epstein speculation was a catalyst for the QAnon crowd conspiracy theory.)
This Bondi debacle is one of the two biggest unforced errors by Trump’s top administrative disruptors, the other being SecDef Pete Hegseth’s unfortunate Signal chat snafu.
And as unforced errors and self-inflicted wounds go, Trump dumping on a cross section of his most loyal political base for demanding the release of Epstein’s files, after his AG staged an event promising to do just that, is a big one. This error falls into the “Trump 45” category, when, during his first term, he would regularly post some “stupid s–t” that distracted from his otherwise outstanding agenda.
As you recall, fueling speculation about the files, in a spiteful post-DOGE rant on X last month (quickly deleted), Elon Musk declared: “[Trump] is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public.”
Well, yes, Elon, the files Bondi released in February revealed Trump’s name in seven of Epstein’s flight logs, some of those traveling with his family members. But there is no evidence, according to even the leftist PolitiFact outfit, that Trump ever went to Epstein’s “fantasy island,” unlike some prominent Demos and big money leftists.
Most notable among those would be that consummate prevaricator, Bill Clinton, who denies the claims.
For the record, former Epstein attorney Alan Dershowitz claims: “I was his lawyer. I know things that court orders won’t allow me to disclose.” Dershowitz has repeatedly declared: “Jeffrey Epstein never created a client list or black book of anyone who engaged in improper activity. That’s a fabrication.”
Of course, Tucker Carlson got into the debate, claiming Epstein was actually an agent with the Mossad, maybe entrapping politicos who could then be blackmailed into supporting Israel: “There is nothing wrong with saying that, there’s nothing hateful about saying that, there’s nothing anti-Semitic about saying that — there’s nothing even anti-Israel about saying that!” Carlson added: “Every single person in Washington, DC [thinks that]. I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t think that.”
Carlson must think Mossad is run by morons. It is hard for a man to judge his own case when he lives in an echo chamber, as apparently Carlson does.
And the latest developments…
The Department of Justice fired James Comey’s daughter, Maurene, who was one of the Manhattan assistant U.S. attorneys in charge of prosecuting Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. She is also responsible for asking a federal judge to seal the Epstein files that have yet to be released. According to The Washington Times, “The list of information kept secret under the judge’s order includes Epstein’s business and financial records, phone call logs, travel records, statements from ‘dozens of witnesses,’ as well as the discussions among law enforcement and grand jury testimony.”
Likewise, Dershowitz reiterated that the only files being withheld are those under court order. He said of those named in the files: “I was his lawyer and I did all the investigations, I know who all these people are. Some of them were previously in office. Some of them are dead. But there is no client list.”
Coincidentally, Maurene Comey was also a lead prosecutor in the failed prosecution of Sean “Diddy” Combs for sex trafficking and racketeering.
Additionally, given the blowback against Bondi, at Trump’s request, she appealed to the Manhattan federal court for release of grand jury transcripts in the Epstein and Maxwell cases. However, the court is not likely to grant those releases. Notably, there is a lot of other Epstein and Maxwell content beyond what has already been released and any grand jury transcripts that get released. The evidence in these cases includes photos, videos and other recordings, email and text messages, FBI 302 witness interviews, etc. The Epstein conspiracy will be as long lived as the JFK assassination.
And looking for some Epstein frenzy ad revenue, The Wall Street Journal dropped a report about a note and drawing it claims Trump sent to Epstein back in 2003, a year before they had a falling out. It was among many other letters his child grooming partner Ghislaine Maxwell collected for Epstein’s 50th birthday. Trump denied any connection to the letter: “I don’t draw pictures of women. It’s not my language. It’s not my words.” He promptly filed a $10 billion defamation suit against WSJ.
So what is next?
Erick Erickson suggests: “[Trump] would be wise to bring in Robert Hur, who built up his reputation in the investigation of former President Joe Biden’s classified documents. Let him examine all the evidence and tell the public what actually exists, what does not exist, what exists and cannot be revealed and why it cannot be revealed. Also, tell us what is not true that people believe is true.”
Maybe we will find out that one of Joe Biden’s many autopen puppeteers ordered the alleged Epstein blackmail list destroyed because there were too many Demos in it. Unfortunately, because Hillary Clinton had Epstein murdered — I mean, because Epstein committed suicide prior to his conviction, the conspiracy speculation around his alleged “client list” will endure in perpetuity.
However, the speculation that there is something in the Epstein files and videos that would incriminate Trump falls flat.
The Biden/Harris regime’s corrupt DOJ was in possession of all of this information, and if there was anything incriminating, it would most certainly have been “leaked” to their Leftmedia publicists last year in order to undermine Trump’s presidential campaign.
As for Bondi, she still seems not ready for prime time, but hey, she is much better than Trump’s previous AG nominee, Matt Gaetz, who seems like he would have been an Epstein island regular.
And as for the aforementioned “grand conspiracy” investigation into Brennan and Comey, I regret to state the obvious: It may end up in the same trash bin containing Epstein’s purported client list, though unlike that client list, there was, indisputably, a deep-state coup d’état to take Trump down.
