Mark Alexander: The Demos ARE Crazy

“To restore … harmony … to render us again one people acting as one nation should be the object of every man really a patriot.” —Thomas Jefferson (1801)

This week, in a rally for New York City’s communist mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, a radical Islamist, a “who’s who” of Demo radicals turned out. The loudest among them was, of course, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). At one point she screamed to her sycophantic audience: “We are not the crazy ones! … They want us to think we are crazy! We are sane!”

A colleague observed: “This is prima facie evidence that it is possible to be drunk enough to elect your bartender to Congress.” He also claimed that the guy next to AOC in the orange turban must be a U-Tennessee fan — but I rejected that suggestion. As a Syracuse graduate, I insisted that since the rally was in New York, he was actually an “Orange Man” fan — no, not that Orange Man … and from there, the thread devolved into football rivalry.

The fact is, these people are the crazy ones — the result of their manifestation of chronic Trump Derangement Syndrome — and the depth of their derangement is apparently bottomless.

This is the same party that just found out their leading Senate primary candidate in Maine, Graham Platner, has a now-covered-up Nazi tattoo on his chest, prompting his campaign manager to resign in protest. But instead of requiring him to withdraw in disgrace, the Demo crazies have actually circled their wagons around him. Platner promises, “I am not a secret Nazi.” No word on whether he is still a “communist” and an “antifa supersoldier” as he claimed, in addition to asserting that “cops are bastards, all of them,” and even questioning why black people “don’t tip” at restaurants.

Leave it to the Left’s most delusional hater of all, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT), to rush to Platner’s defense: “He sounds like a human being to me, a human being who made mistakes, recognizes them, and is very open about it.” Actually, Platner lied about his tat, but move along, nothing to see here.

After two assassination attempts against Donald Trump and recent attempts against other conservatives, clearly inspired by the endless streams of hate rhetoric being spewed by high-profile Demos over the last five years, leading Democrats promised to tone down the rhetoric.

But, shocker, the proliferation of hate rhetoric accelerated.

This hatefest originated with Demos’ destructive and deadly “summer of rage” riots across the nation ahead of the 2020 election, sponsored by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. That resulted in a surge in violence in the years that followed.

Moreover, it resulted in a much lower bar for “acceptable hate rhetoric” by high-profile Demos. By “lower,” I mean on the ground.

That hate was directly responsible for the assassination of Charlie Kirk six weeks ago.

Once again, Demo hate hustlers promised to tone down the rhetoric, but in fact, they have ramped it up, now boldly comparing Trump to “Hitler” and his supporters to “fascists.”

In additional to Charlie’s murder, here is the short list of Demo-incited leftist violence over the past 12 months: Murder of a healthcare executive in New York; Igniting of the deadly and disastrous Palisades fire; Murder of a Border Patrol agent; Firebombing of Tesla dealerships and vehicles; Attempted firebombing of Gov. Josh Shapiro’s (D-PA) home; Murder of two Israeli embassy workers in Washington, D.C.; Murder of children at a Catholic church in Minneapolis; and countless assaults and attempts to murder ICE agents and police in Demo-controlled cities.

And a new survey on political violence found that 72% of Demos agreed that “violence is often necessary to create social change,” and 66% of those had a bachelor’s degree or higher.

That brings me to an MSNBC interview this week in which leftist Nicolle Wallace allowed Gov. JB “Puffy” Pritzker (D-IL) to wash his hands of making such incendiary comments.

Puffy declared, “I haven’t suggested that Donald Trump is Hitler.” Astoundingly, Wallace then gave the whole Demo Party a pass: “I don’t think any Democrat has.”

Here, then, is a quick sample of Pritzker’s recent non-comparisons of Trump to Hitler:

“I can tell you, sitting next to Holocaust survivors, that what they will say in this moment is ‘This is what happened.”

“The dangers that we saw in Nazi Germany are the dangers that we need to react to, now.”

“Everybody understands that at the point, we have an authoritarian in office.”

“It doesn’t take long to tear apart a constitutional republic, indeed the Nazis did it in 53 days.”

“This is what happened. People’s rights started getting taken away. … This is before the Holocaust really took place. This is how authoritarian regimes do it.”

“I do not invoke the specter of Nazis lightly … I am watching with a foreboding dread what is happening in our country right now.”

“We’re talking about the death of a constitutional republic. That’s what happened in Germany. … This is literally the end of the republic as we know it.”

“I’m not gonna just sit back while [Trump is] literally turning this country into a dictatorial regime.”

As for Democrat Party leadership…

“If he wins, there’ll be a ‘unified Reich,’ like the Third Reich. This is … Hitler’s language, not America’s.” Joe Biden

“Trump said he wanted generals like Adolf Hitler had. He wants a military that is not loyal to the Constitution, but loyal to him.” Kamala Harris

“Well, Hitler was duly elected. … Trump is telling us what he intends to do.” Hillary Clinton

“I understand very well why it is wrong to compare Adolf Hitler’s Third Reich to any other movement … but there are important lessons from the history of that emergent evil.” Al Gore

“This is not politics as usual, my friends. This is authoritarianism. It’s fascism dressed in a red tie.” Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin

“Donald Trump is trying to destroy our democracy. … He is acting in a way that is scarily similar to many would-be despots all across history.” Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT)

“We need to stand up against this fascist takeover.” Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI)

“I can only equate one period of time with what we experience now, and that was what was going on in Germany around 1934, right after the 1932 elections, when Adolf Hitler was elected chancellor.” Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) (former House Assistant Democratic Leader)

“[Trump] is paving the way to become a Vladimir Putin or to become a [sic] Adolf Hitler, or Kim Jong Un. That’s what he wants to be!” Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY)

“Fascism is not on the way. It is here.” Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL)

Of course, the Leftmedia and celebrity comparisons are endless.

The latest catalyst for the Hitler comparisons is the Demos’ unhinged crusade against ICE agents. And the Trump administration has compiled a list of these disgraceful comparisons here.

Some examples from other sources…

“Donald Trump’s modern-day Gestapo is scooping folks up off the streets.” Tim “Stolen Valor” Walz

“When you compare the old films of the Gestapo grabbing people off the streets of Poland … it does look like a Gestapo operation.” Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA)

“Because if we just roll this clock on the wall back 75 years, we’d be looking at a time in Nazi Germany.” Rep. Kweisi Mfume (D-MD)

“That’s the SS and the Gestapo!” Rep. John Larson (D-CT)

“It’s un-American. I called ICE the modern-day Gestapo. … That’s literally what’s going on.” Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA)

OK, you get it…

The “new standard” for “acceptable hate rhetoric” is very dangerous, and Demos are refusing to reckon with the resulting political violence, and the violence to come.

How dangerous? President Trump has now declared the so-called “antifa movement” of self-styled “anti-fascist” fascists a domestic terrorist organization, and not a minute too soon.

Trump adviser Stephen Miller notes: “The issue before us now is very simple and clear. There is a large and growing movement of left-wing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded. And it is shielded by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors, and attorneys general. The only remedy is to use legitimate state power to dismantle terrorism and terror networks.”

That prompted Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) to declare, “Stephen Miller is a fascist.”

But the fact is, as JD Vance has declared: “If you want to stop political violence, stop telling your supporters that everybody who disagrees with you politically is a Nazi.”

Only one among the Demos’ national leadership, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), has repeatedly condemned the hate: “You just don’t ever, ever compare anyone to Hitler and those kinds of extreme things. [Trump] is not an autocrat. This is a product of a democratic election. … A lot of Americans happen to disagree with you, that does not mean that they are fascists, or now they want to shred the Constitution.”

He added: “I know and I love people who voted for President Trump. They are NOT fascists, they’re NOT Nazis, they’re NOT trying to destroy the Constitution. … I REFUSE to call people Nazis or fascists. I would never compare anybody — anybody to Hitler. … And if that kind of extreme rhetoric is going to continue, [it will] likely result] in extreme kinds of outcomes and political violence.”

As for the rest of his party, did I mention they are CRAZY?
