LA has one of the worst radical contingents in the country. And they’ve been emboldened by their ties to Mayor Karen Bass, who occasionally offers toothless condemnations, but does nothing more, and by the LA County Board of Supervisors, which is openly supportive of them and their attacks on synagogues, universities and private property.
Tie that in with the mainstreaming of the anti-ICE movement by the Democrats and you have a ticking time bomb. Literally.
FBI Director Kash Patel said on Monday that the bureau arrested five members of a pro-Palestinian extremist group who were plotting bombing attacks in Los Angeles and New Orleans on New Year’s Eve.
“The subjects self-identified as members of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement and anti-government ideology,” Patel wrote.
“They were allegedly planning coordinated IED bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles,” Patel stated. “In the days since, the FBI in New Orleans arrested an additional fifth individual believed to be linked to this radical Turtle Island Liberation Front subgroup, also allegedly planning a separate violent attack.”
Patel described the New Year’s Eve terrorist threat as “credible” and “imminent.”
The New Orleans-based member of the group was arrested for allegedly plotting a separate attack.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote on Monday that the group was plotting a “massive and horrific terror plot” in Orange County and Los Angeles.
“The Turtle Island Liberation Front—a far-left, pro-Palestine, anti-government and anti-capitalist group—was preparing to conduct a series of bombings against multiple targets in California beginning on New Year’s Eve,” Bondi wrote. “The group also planned to target ICE agents and vehicles.”
This looks a whole lot like Islamic terrorism because these people are entangled with them. The New Year’s Eve targeting also echoes Islamic terror plots.
(By the way, if you’re wondering about the ‘Turtle Island’ name, this is what anti-American ‘decolonization’ leftists call America because they claim that it’s what Indians called America.)
TILF Los Angeles has called the US government an “illegal American empire” and demanded a “Free Palestine,” “Free Hawaii” and “Free Puerto Rico” in other Instagram posts.
“Freeing the world from American imperialism is the only way to a safe and peaceful future,” the group has declared.
They’ve used the upside down red triangle used by Hamas supporters and held up signs reading “Death to ICE”.
The real issue is how LA Dems have mainstreamed and protected these groups, allowing them to attack synagogues and conduct riots.
