The story is here.
The Sikh owner of a London-based Indian restaurant [the Rangrez] was briefly detained by the police on Saturday, following days of controversy over his refusal to sell halal meat. Indian-origin restaurateur Harman Singh Kapoor had earlier claimed that he had become the target of Muslim protesters over his refusal to sell halal.
The Sikhs in the United Kingdom are frequently the victims of Muslim violence. Though most of the girls mass-raped by the Pakistani grooming gangs have been white English girls, Sikh girls have from time to time been similarly victimized.
Harman Singh Kapoor, quite understandably, detests Islam. That is his right. And he made clear he did not want their custom by posting a note in his window proclaiming “No Halal Meat Is Served Here.” That, too, is his right. No one can be forced to serve food of a certain kind. But the local Muslims in Hammersmith did not agree.
For days, Harman Singh Kapoor’s restaurant was besieged by more than one hundred Muslims who blocked the entrance to his restaurant as they screamed their fury at Kapoor, demanding that he serve halal food. They took pictures of his children, made threats of death and rape.
After enduring this for several days, and having repeatedly asked for police protection, Mr. Kapoor was glad to see the Metropolitan Police finally arrive. But they did not arrest the Muslim rioters. No, it was Mr. Kapoor whom they detained, apparently thinking it would be easier to “deconflict” the situation by taking into custody one Sikh rather than dozens of angry Muslims. Kapoor was handcuffed and taken away in a police van. Ultimately, he was released. But none of the Muslims protesting outside his restaurant has been arrested.
Mr. Kapoor says that for a long time, Muslims have been trying to destroy his business, all because of his “no halal meat” sign. They have had accomplices in Pakistan who, while pretending to be posting from London, post hundreds of fake reviews, describing his restaurant as full of filth, its food inedible and overpriced, hoping to destroy his business. Those reviews, and the Muslim mobs that keep showing up to noisily protest outside his restaurant, have had their wretched effect, and Kapoor has now announced that after 16 years in the business, he is now forced to close his restaurant. He vows to continue to fight against Muslim bullying of non-Muslims in the U.K., though how he does not say.
Kapoor had posted frequently about being threatened and intimidated by members of what he referred to as the “peaceful community” for not selling halal food. Videos he had shared online earlier captured groups of protesters outside his restaurant Rangrez in London.
On Saturday, footage of Harman Singh Kapoor being handcuffed by police officers inside his restaurant emerged online. Visuals also showed him being led away by cops and forced into a police van.
Samantha Smith, who describes herself as a “columnist: Catholic Herald, Spectator, Daily Mail Commentator: Sky News, BBC, ITV + others,” summarizes the incident in this way:
>Sikh restaurant refuses to sell halal meat
>100+ armed Muslim men swarm the restaurant, try to break in, film their kids, and threaten to rape and murder them
>police arrive but arrest none of the mob
>police arrest the restaurant owner the next day insteadLondon is doomed.
Is London doomed, as Samantha Smith says? Let’s see if the Metropolitan Police, who haven’t yet arrested any of the Muslims who deprived Harman Singh Kapoor of his livelihood, finally decide to do so. And if they don’t, then I’d concede, most unhappily, that Samantha Smith has a point.
Remember: while all this was happening, there was real crime being committed in London. The Muslim mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, who has seen crimes by Muslims in the city shoot upward during his tenure, for the longest time denied that there were rape gangs in his London. But no longer. The evidence was just too irrefutable that Pakistani Muslim men were luring young English girls, mostly 14- and 15-year-olds, into sexual slavery, first by getting them hooked on drugs, and then raping them repeatedly, passing them around like candy for the enjoyment of themselves and their friends. Sadiq Khan finally admitted, mostreluctantly, that the rape gangs in London are indeed a problem, just as they are in Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford, Telford, Huddersfield, Newcastle, Derby, Bristol, and another 40 cities and towns across the UK.
Now, can Sadiq Khan be similarly truthful about the need to protect the rights of non-Muslim restaurant owners in his London?
