Getting Briefly Detained in the New Dem Political Strategy

Not arrested, I should mention because they’re not being arrested. But briefly detained.

New York’s inept Comptroller Brad Lander, currently running for mayor as a stalking horse for a Muslim socialist candidate, was the latest to get himself arrested in a confrontation with ICE just ahead of Bernie endorsing his ‘opponent’. That followed the even more overhyped arrest of Newsom political ally Sen. Padilla which led to more theatrics than an entire high school production of Romeo and Juliet.

A number of other local officials have contrived to get themselves actually arrested, not just detained and released without charges, because that kind of virtue signaling is seen as a pathway to winning the hearts and minds of Dems. It’s like the civil rights movement for illegal aliens.

But, much like No Kings day, does anyne actually care?

Well Dems do and mostly lefties do and that’s what matters. The Left is frustrated that politicians aren’t fighting so the likes of Padilla and Lander get in there and pretend to fight by having themselves filmed struggling briefly with law enforcement before they’re kicked out.

If they faced real charges however, that behavior would quickly disappear.
