Many people don’t realize that while Islam is hostile to the ‘G’ and ‘L’ parts of LGBTQ, it’s quite open to the ‘T’ part. As HRC notes, “As early as 1988, gender reassignment surgery was declared acceptable under Islamic law by scholars at Egypt’s Al-Azhar, the world’s oldest Islamic university. In Iran, in 1987, Ayatollah Khomeini declared transgender surgical operations allowable.” Khomeini had banned pretty much everything, but Iran has become the most pro-transgender country in the Muslim world. Indeed, the Islamic regime funds transgender surgeries.
Sex changes have been legal since the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, spiritual leader of the 1979 Islamic revolution, passed a fatwa authorising them nearly 25 years ago. Recently dozens of transsexuals – including a former Republican Guard – have been able to openly seek treatment to switch sexes.
Ms Molkara used to be called Fereydoon – Mr Fereydoon Molkara. And now she is a transsexual living in the Islamic Republic of Iran: someone who has volunteered to go under the veil. Ms Molkara established an organisation to help those with sexual-identity problems. Co-founders include Ali Razini, head of the Special Court of Clergy, a branch of the judiciary that deals only with clerics, and Zahra Shojai, Iran’s vice president for women’s affairs. An Islamic philanthropic group known as the Imam Khomeini Charity Foundation has agreed to provide loans of $1,200 to help pay for sex-change surgery.
While the government seeks to keep its approval quiet, state support has increased since Mr Ahmadinejad took office in 2005. His government has begun providing grants of £2,250 for operations and further funding for hormone therapy. It is also proposing loans of up to £2,750 to allow those undergoing surgery to start their own businesses.
As Islamization penetrates our legal system, it may be worth asking if Islamic law impacted the illegal decision by Mustafa Kasubhai, the ‘first Muslim judge’, preventing the Trump administration from ending the gruesome practice of child mutilation.
The Trump administration had warned that abusive practices and medical experimentation on children, the use of ‘puberty blockers’, which can cripple for life, hormones and surgical mutilations, were unacceptable and those practicing them would lose out on the lucrative Medicare and Medicaid business.
Judge Mustafa Kasubhai, a racist Biden appointee with radical views, blocked the implementation of this decision.
As our Discover the Networks profile of Mustafa Kasubhai showed, had argued that, “we have to set aside conventional ideas of proof when we are dealing with the personal and interpersonal work of equity, diversity and inclusion. As a judge, I can appreciate the challenge of employing a different mode for understanding truth than that which most lawyers are accustomed to in our work.”
There are also Islamist links here.
“Kasubhai made a particularly notable appearance in Eugene on November 18, 2022, where he met with members of the University of Oregon Law School’s Muslim Students Association (MSA), speaking to them about externships, clerkships, and other matters of concern to aspiring attorneys. The MSA connection is highly significant because of the parent organization’s radical Islamist ties. Indeed, the national MSA was the first Muslim Brotherhood affiliate to gain a foothold in the United States in the 1960s, and has long been a key lobbying organization for the fundamentalist Wahhabi sect of Islam.”
Now because of Mustafa Kasubhai, and those figures in the Biden administration who put him forward, children will continue to be horrifically abused. And we must ask whether his religious belief in Islamic law, which licenses these crimes against children, played any role.
