First Gay Immigrant Judge Claims Trump Can’t Deport Haitian Illegals Because It’s Racist

In today’s episode of federal judges behaving badly, it’s another round with Judge Ann Reyes, a Biden appointee noted for being the first gay Latin American immigrant to occupy a lifetime appointment as a federal judge with the power to overrule the president any time she wants to based on her passionate feelings on the subject. Like a lot of Biden judges, Reyes is weak on the law and her idea of legal reasoning is what one would expect of a not too bright but very passionate high school activist.

The issue here is Haiti whose illegal aliens received pretty much permanent protected status here because their country is said to be a permanent disaster area.

Haiti was under TPS or temporary protected status in 2010 over an earthquake. Since then there have been multiple natural disasters and innumerable human ones leading administrations to essentially declare that Haiti is a permanent disaster area. No word on when any of those problems are expected to go away? Is there a point in time when we’ll be able to freely send illegals back to Haiti?

TPS is meant to be temporary. Instead, it’s become a backdoor amnesty for failed states.

Judge Reyes starts with a quote from George Washington. And carefully chops it in half.

The bosom of America is open to receive not only the opulent & respectable Stranger, but the oppressed & persecuted of all Nations & Religions”

Here’s the rest of the quote…

“whom we shall wellcome to a participation of all our rights & previleges, if by decency & propriety of conduct they appear to merit the enjoyment.”

You can see why the first lesbian Latina immigrant judge trying to stage a coup cut this one out.

Reyes then sneers that Secretary Noem has a “different take”, embeds her tweet in her decision and claims that Noem is a racist for describing deportable illegals as “killers, leeches, or entitlement junkies”.

Let’s not forget illegitimately appointed federal judges.

There are more claims that Noem is a racist followed by Judge Reyes announcing that she’s the new president.

“Secretary Noem complains of strains unlawful immigrants place on our immigration-enforcement system. Her answer? Turn 352,959 lawful immigrants into unlawful immigrants overnight. She complains of strains to our economy. Her answer? Turn employed lawful immigrants who contribute billions in taxes into the legally unemployable. She complains of strains to our healthcare system. Her answer? Turn the insured into the uninsured. This approach is many things—in the public interest is not one of them.”

That’s a policy argument and should Judge Reyes try to run for president, a position she’s even more constitutionally unqualified for, she can argue for it. Instead she’s substituting her judgement for that of the chief executive. The public did not vote for Reyes. Her authority ends at the limits of the law, not her personal opinion. When she tries to command from the bench, that’s a coup.

Again.
