Steven Spielberg’s best filmmaking days are behind him and his greatest uncredited production may have been the Biden presidency.
Jeffrey Katzenberg, linked to everything from Lion King to Shrek, “saw Biden’s communication struggles and thought he could help fix them. He worked on providing better lighting for Biden and trying to find a microphone that would amplify Biden when he would break into a whisper for emphasis.”
Apparently, the microphone that could fix Biden’s creepy emphasis whispers don’t exist. And no one could get Biden to stop doing it.
“Katzenberg also recruited his friend Steven Spielberg, who helped coach Biden for the State of the Union and his debates, even assisting with routine campaign videos. There was, however, only so much that Hollywood magic could do.”
I know some of Spielberg’s recent movies, like the remake of West Side Story, were pretty bad, but I didn’t think they were this bad.
Apparently one of the suggestions from somebody was to shoot Biden with two cameras to make editing easier.
But you can’t fix in editing when what you have is so terrible that there’s no good footage.
