Elon Musk deletes two fiery posts from daylong social media feud with Trump

Former Trump adviser Elon Musk deleted two X posts that were part of the social media war between him and President Donald Trump late this week.

The daylong feud between Musk and Trump on their respective social media platforms featured many accusations and threats, but as the president signals he is done with his onetime adviser, Musk has since deleted two of his most inflammatory posts from his X account.

One of those is Musk’s claim that Trump features in the Epstein files and that is the reason they haven’t been fully released.

At the time, Musk posted, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

The link to that X post now directs users to a blank page that indicates it has been deleted.

The other post is Musk’s apparent endorsement of a Trump impeachment.

On Thursday, Musk responded “Yes” to a user’s post calling for the removal of Trump and for Vice President JD Vance to replace him as president.

Musk’s reply is now no longer visible, and the link only shows the other user’s original post.

The scrubbing of the posts came before Trump escalated his attacks on his former adviser, a marked shift from the president’s show of restraint during the Thursday feud.

Trump bluntly told NBC News on Saturday that he has no desire to patch things up with Musk, adding that he has “no intention of speaking to him.”

Trump also blasted Musk as having been “disrespectful to the office of the President.”

“I think it’s a very bad thing, because he’s very disrespectful. You could not disrespect the office of the President,” he said.
