Senate Democrats have repeatedly blocked funding for the TSA, the Coast Guard, and other Department of Homeland Security agencies, trying to force the Trump administration and congressional Republicans to agree to defunding ICE and protecting illegal immigrants in exchange for funding the rest of DHS.
The effects of the TSA shutdown have been mixed, but major airports have seen massive security lines at peak travel times. Unpaid for the second time in recent months, TSA officers are quitting or calling in sick at growing rates. Democrat Party messaging is deadly simple:
They shut down a bunch of government agencies, then say “Republican shutdown” over and over again. They create giant security lines at airports, then tell voters to be angry that mean Republicans are doing this to you. Deliberately inflicting pain on Americans, Democrats say that this is what happens when Republicans are in charge: Now do you see what happens to America during a Donald Trump presidency? Why is Trump hurting you? It’s evil, it’s shockingly stupid, and it’s all they have.
Trying to solve the problem caused by Senate Democrats, President Trump has ordered ICE agents into airports this week to help the TSA. The Democrat response is to rant about terror and murder:
See, you can’t go to the airport this week, because the government will probably just slaughter you. Dimwitted House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries shamelessly auditioned the same theme on CNN this weekend, warning that ICE agents were headed to airports “potentially to brutalize” Americans, “or in some instances, kill them.”
This is it. This is the thing Democrats are going to do until November. They’re going to inflict as much pain on the country as they can. They’re going to say that it’s very mean for Republicans to be doing this to you.
And they’re going to sow fear, uncertainty, and doubt, terrorizing the country with insane rants about how everyone is going to die. You’re going to be brutalized! You’ll probably even be shot and killed!
It’s pandemic 2.0, a loud message of fear and chaos to monkey-wrench another Trump term. They can’t govern. Everything they touch turns to ash. Blue states are a disaster, functionally insolvent and riddled with fraud. So Democrats tell Americans that they’re going to die, because ICE is going to murder them when they try to go on vacation. They aren’t being subtle about it. This is the strategy.
