California Gubernatorial Debate Because Candidates Were Too White

First, Hollywood award shows were rejiggered to ensure that the winners would be ‘diverse’. Now it’s not enough to have mandatory diversity baked into everything, but the qualification for gubernatorial candidates on the debate stage is not being white. That’s a problem because the leading candidates in the race are white. That’s a problem!

A planned California gubernatorial debate for Tuesday night was abruptly canceled less than 24 hours before the event, amid controversy that no candidates of color were among those invited to participate.

In a statement released late Monday night, a USC spokesperson said it will “look for other opportunities to educate voters on the candidates and issues.” But the debate planned with ABC for Tuesday evening was nixed.

Polling percentage and fundraising were used to determine a candidate’s viability formula, according to the methodology. The polling percentage was determined by the most recent Public Policy Institute of California survey, and the fundraising component took the total amount raised divided by the number of days a candidate was in the race.

Sure those represent actual public support indexes but that’s not diverse enough. The voters must be told in no uncertain terms that they aren’t being diverse enough. And if all else fails, all the candidates will have to be forced to step down, for the sake of diversity, and replaced with transgender persons of color.

It’s the only right thing to do.

Finally the voters will have to be diversified. Perhaps by opening up the border, welcoming in a mass migration to replace them, and then preventing any enforcement of immigration law. That should do it.
