Bernie Sanders Too Busy Trying to Make New Holocaust Happen to Commemorate Old Holocaust

Sen. Bernie Sanders has the legislative footprint of a flamingo. He never held an actual job for long and it will not surprise you that he couldn’t be bothered to show up to a Holocaust Museum board meeting.

Sen. Bernie Sanders has served on the US Holocaust Memorial Museum’s board for 18 years, but hasn’t attended a single meeting — inspiring a bipartisan push to oust him, The Post has learned.

“There are two large meetings every year where people fly in from all over the country for it. But Bernie Sanders couldn’t be bothered to walk across the road in DC,” said fellow board member Robert Garson, president of the American Association of Jewish Lawyers and Jurists.

Garson and Burkan, both appointed by President Trump, are among the dozen signers of a letter asking Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to replace Sanders — citing his non-attendance and repeated claims that Israel has committed genocide in the Gaza Strip.

In all fairness, it’s hard to find time to commemorate the old Holocaust when you spend all your time trying to make a new one happen.

.Sanders began trying to cut off weapons to Israel before the Yom Kippur War. He has partnered with and defended antisemites. And he repeats Hamas propaganda more often than Hamas does. He posed with and defended a Senate candidate with a Nazi tattoo.

It’s not clear why he’s even on the Holocaust Museum board since he famously kept insisting that his father was Polish and only brings up his Jewish ancestry when trying to get more Jews killed.

Col. Sanders would be a better fit for the Holocaust Museum board despite being dead. The good colonel at least spent time in a Jewish hospital. Bernie Sanders does everything possible to put Jews in hospitals and cemeteries.

But maybe Sen. Sanders misunderstood the purpose of the Holocaust Museum. It’s not a commemoration, not a guide.
