After ‘Defund the Police’ Comes ‘Legalize Child Abuse’

‘Defund the Police’ always actually meant ‘Legalize Crime’. Which is why it’s accompanied by ‘criminal justice reform’ measures like the ones that legalized shoplifting below $1K or diverted virtually every criminal from serving actual time in prison.

So what comes after ‘Defund the Police’ and ‘Legalize Crime’? Obviously, ‘Legalize Child Abuse’.

In this video, courtesy of Stu Smith, 2024 MacArthur Fellow, the so-called ‘genius grant’ explains what comes next.

Dorothy E. Roberts, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, says that the “family policing system” literally kidnaps children, exists to uphold a “capitalist, racist, white supremacist, patriarchal, ableist system,” and must be abolished outright.

“We see that abolition is the only answer to the harms that the system is inflicting on children and also the only answer to truly supporting families and keeping children safe.”

Especially when those children are being sexually assaulted, starved or beaten to death. The police must never be called.

Roberts argues that child protective services is a false front that survives only because any real change would threaten the racial capitalist system she believes it protects. “What it’s really protecting is the idea that this nation cares about the safety of children and the the reason why children aren’t safe is because of their pathological parents, they’re deficient parents. Therefore, you know, why, why have that, why believe that? Because then you don’t need radical social change.” Roberts says.

Same argument as with murderers, rapists and muggers. It’s not their fault. They’re victims of systemic racism. Stop policing them and then surely you’ll have lots of ‘equity.’

Or bodies in the street.

The University of Pennsylvania decided to promote Roberts’ book claiming “that the child welfare system is better understood as a ‘family policing system’ that collaborates with law enforcement and prisons to oppress black communities. Child protection investigations ensnare a majority of black children, putting their families under intense state surveillance and regulation.”

MacArthur decided to reward this with a “$800,000, no-strings-attached grant for individuals who have shown exceptional creativity in their work and the promise to do more” for “exposing racial inequities embedded in social service systems and uplifting the experiences of people caught up in them.”

In other words, MacArthur would like more dead and raped kids. Genius.
