Muslim Convert Who Planned to “Slit Throats” of Churchgoers in Idaho Pleads Guilty

We keep talking about Islamic terrorism as if it were in the past tense. It’s not. Even assuming we don’t see a major organized 9/11 attack again any time soon (which considering some of the large scale ISIS attacks in Europe is far from a foregone conclusion), there’s a steady drumbeat of Muslim terror plots.

And increasing numbers of them are coming from converts to Islam. Here’s a particularly nasty one.

A man accused of planning to attack a local church on behalf of ISIS last year pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday, according to the U.S Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho.

Authorities arrested Mercurio on April 6, 2024, the day before federal prosecutors said he planned to attack people attending a church near his home in Coeur d’Alene. He planned to incapacitate people by beating them with a metal pipe, “slit their throats with a knife or machete” and then start fires inside the church, according to court records.

He told a source he previously “drank the Kool-Aid of white supremacy” but felt ISIS had more purpose for him, according to court records.

This is what happens when the official narrative props up Islam and pushes it on teenagers in high school. Muslim converts plotting terrorist attacks used to be ex-cons who were conned into it in prison, but the new wave of Muslim terror converts are white teenagers in out-of-the-way places you don’t associate with Islamic terrorism who get into it and then start planning to stab or kill someone.

To what extent are they infected with it not just on the internet, but in school, is the question.
