The Democrat to Socialist to Communist pipeline is really something, but when there’s not really much of a distinction between one and the other, when they’ve all become different words that all mean creating a vast unchecked centralized government with the aim of creating utopia and suppressing anyone who stands in the way, why not go from one to the other to the really other?
Back in September, I did an investigative report on Graham Platner, the Bernie endorsed Senate candidate from Maine, and dismantled his fake ‘working class persona’, revealing that he was a young leftist from a wealthy family and his ‘oysterman’ shtick is subsidized by his mommy.
Rather than a working class boy from a hard scrabble background, he was the grandson of a world famous architect.
There is the Graham Platner that the media wants you to see: Maine oysterman, veteran and gun owner, a working class type who could easily be MAGA, but is running as a Democrat.
Then there’s the real Graham Platner, son of a prominent local attorney, grandson of a major modernist architect, whose business was funded by a nonprofit grant meant for black people.
And by his mother who owns multiple businesses.
While he’s been billed as an outsider candidate with no interest in professional politics, he’s actually the activist son of a council candidate and the husband of a town selectwoman, as well as a local official whom the media had regularly turned to for quotes since at least 2009.
CNN’s KFile followed up with a less researched scoop that consisted of digging up his old Reddit account and finding the stuff he had been writing before deciding to get into politics.
Including announcing that he’s a Communist and that he hates the kind of working class white man he’s pretending to be.
In one now-deleted Reddit comment from 2021, Platner responded to a thread about people becoming more conservative as they age by saying: “I got older and became a communist.”
In his interview with CNN, Platner wanted to assure voters: “I’m not a communist. I’m not a socialist. I own a small business. I’m a Marine Corps veteran.”
Must be why Bernie endorses him. Bernie is famously a non-socialist and non-Communist who loves small businessmen and veterans.
“Bastards. Cops are bastards.” Platner replied, “All of them, in fact.”
In another since-removed post from 2020, Platner responded to a thread titled “White people aren’t as racist or stupid as Trump thinks” by writing, “Living in white rural America, I’m afraid to tell you they actually are.”
Now Platner is pretending to be one of them. But he’s just Tim Walz on steroids.
