Thomas Gallatin: Leftmedia Lie: Conservatives Aim to ‘Exterminate Trans People’

The Leftmedia is scrambling to run damage control and desperately rushing to shore up a bogus narrative that is crumbling like a sandcastle being struck by the waves.

That bogus narrative is that radical leftist ideology is not responsible for radicalizing those who fall for it to engage in violence.

When phrases like “words are violence” gain acceptance, the honest and logical question is simple: if someone actually believes such a nonsensical concept, what’s stopping them from acting on it?

While that radical and obviously dangerous claim is concerning, it only truly becomes problematic when it is married to dehumanizing rhetoric that aims to turn social mores on their head.

An example of this comes courtesy of The Nation, which recently published an article with the provocative title, “The Right Wants to Exterminate Trans People. Liberals Are Helping.” The teaser reads, “After the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the conservative movement has accelerated its war against trans people. And too many centrist Democrats have kept up their trans bashing.”

That’s a level of propaganda that would make Joseph Goebbels proud.

Speaking of the Nazis, the article by Jack Mirkinson jumps to thinly veiled insinuations that the Right is effectively the Third Reich. Mirkinson charges the Right with “Nazi-style rhetoric” and peddling “misinformation” for observing that Kirk’s assassin, Tyler Robinson, was in a romantic relationship with his roommate, who is reportedly “transitioning” to a woman.

“Saying that the right wants to exterminate trans people is not hyperbole,” Mirkinson writes. “Republican bigotry has fueled an array of initiatives designed to drive trans people out of public life. But conservatives aren’t content with turning trans people into fourth-class citizens. They want the public to see them as enemies of the state—as mentally ill savages pulling the country into the moral abyss.”

Mirkinson continues, “Right-wing commentators are pushing the idea that trans people are ‘prone to violence’ and responsible for a huge proportion of mass shootings.”

So, the assassination of Kirk is not an expression of trans violence? According to text messages between Robinson and his transitioning roommate/lover, who asked him why he murdered Kirk, he responded, “I had had enough of his hatred. Some hate can’t be negotiated out.”

Who wants to exterminate whom?

Mirkinson further labels the “anti-trans movement” fascist. That too is yet another example of projection. Who is it that demands absolute capitulation to their proclaimed identity dogma in the face of objective evidence to the contrary? Both biological reality and rational logic fail to uphold the claim and, in fact, refute it.

Conservatives and Republicans object to the blatant and naked attempt to force society writ large to capitulate to a dangerous and destructive lie that seeks to redefine the very nature of humanity and human sexuality.

Furthermore, last we checked, America was a free country where people are at liberty to disagree with one another without the threat of violence for doing so.

Who are the ones demonizing and falsely labeling their fellow Americans as “fascists,” “bigots,” and “racists?” Who are the ones guilty of claiming that Charlie Kirk “got what he deserved” simply because he held political, social, and religious views at odds with the Left? In fact, he advocated for nonviolence and dialogue to bridge differences and find common ground with his fellow Americans.

Despite Mirkinson’s “extermination” fears, the question of what exactly is trans looms large. Asserting that it exists as a state mind completely divorced from the physical reality of nature, beyond the reality of the mental disorder of gender dysphoria, is to declare that something exists that has no agreed-upon objective reality.

We know what male and female are, objectively. But what is “transgender”? The answer given is always dependent upon an individual’s personal expression, which at the same time demands that everyone bow to that individual’s self-declared identity. This is madness. Such latitude is not afforded to any other type of personal self-identification.

But because radical leftists cannot rationally win the debate on this issue, they have resorted to name-calling and demonizing their opponents as haters. The refusal to affirm someone’s delusional demands is not hatred, and it “exterminates” no one. In many instances, the refusal to lie is a demonstration of someone who cares about others’ well-being.

Nevertheless, the Left’s tactic of demonizing conservatives and Republicans as a means to defeat them politically is increasingly resulting in a dehumanizing spirit among radical leftists, who are willing to embrace violence as a political tool to silence and attack those with whom they disagree.

Those who resort to violence and terrorism in order to advance their political cause are never the good guys.
