Vice President JD Vance will guest-host The Charlie Kirk Show on Monday, sitting in for the program after the assassination of his close friend.
Vance teased the talk show gig in a post on X that included a photo of his desk with a notepad and microphone on top of it.
“Tomorrow, I will have the honor of hosting the Charlie Kirk Show. Please join me as I pay tribute to my friend,” Vance said.
The program will start at 12 p.m. and can be streamed on Rumble.
Vance and Charlie Kirk had a close relationship that stretched as far back as 2017, years before Vance had entered political office.
After Kirk was shot and killed at a college event in Utah earlier this week, Vance posted a eulogy on X that recounted some of those memories together.
Those included Kirk advising Vance on his successful Senate run in 2022, his support for Vance’s family during the presidential transition, and their banter over religion.

Despite Kirk’s death, his show will continue, his widow Erika announced on Friday.
The first episode that aired after Kirk’s assassination featured an empty chair in his honor, with one co-host saying “nobody will ever fill it — nobody could ever hope to.”
