MSNBC correspondent Katy Tur spewed some of the most soulless commentary imaginable during her “coverage” of Charlie Kirk’s assassination — and to little surprise, she still has a job.
Abdicating all sense of humanity, Tur did her very best to smear the TPUSA founder shot and killed during a Wednesday speech at a Utah college. The MSNBC hack launched into a tirade slandering Kirk as “divisive” and “polarizing” before the now-deceased husband and father of two’s body was even cold.
“Charlie Kirk was a divisive figure; polarizing; lightning rod; whatever term you want to use. Why?” Tur asked her guest.
The unhinged MSNBC correspondent went on to put politics at the forefront of her coverage of the tragedy. She notably attempted to frame the assassination around Utah’s “permissive” gun laws and pondered the political consequences of this latest example of violence against conservatives.
“You can imagine the [Trump] administration using this as a justification for something,” Tur said.
Tur also seemingly attempted to “both sides” the assassination of Kirk and fomented fears that someone on the right could “tak[e] up the cause of Charlie Kirk” and go after Democrats.
While MSNBC has reportedly fired analyst Matthew Dowd for his disgusting commentary about Kirk, the network has not announced as of publication whether Tur will remain employed following her conduct. (A statement from MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler condemning Dowd’s comments was published to the network’s public relations X account — which boasts 24,100 followers — but not its main X account — which boasts 5 million.)
That Tur hasn’t yet been handed the pink slip speaks volumes about MSNBC. Then again, given the network and its personnel’s horrific behavior over the years, it’s unsurprising.
In anything, Tur’s rhetoric represents a perfect encapsulation of what America’s media have become: a propaganda arm of the Democrat Party whose concern for basic decency pales in comparison to their addiction to the leftist pagan religion they follow.
For years, the media — working alongside their Democrat allies — have smeared conservatives with the most repulsive labels one could think of. And rather than acknowledge their culpability in violent acts like that against Kirk, they double down with the type of unhinged behavior displayed by Tur.
Tur shouldn’t just be fired for her inhumane conduct. She should be publicly shamed to the point where any other “news” organization would feel the full weight of embarrassment for even considering whether to hire her. But that’s assuming the media are even capable of feeling shame at all.
