In 2006, Jeffrey Epstein was arrested, beginning an extended series of local and federal sweetheart deals. During his campaign for leniency, Epstein claimed to have helped set up the Clinton Global Initiative.
Mr. Epstein was part of the original group that conceived the Clinton Global Initiative, which is described as a project ‘bringing together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to some of the world’s most pressing challenges,” read the July 2007 letter to the U.S. Attorney’s office in the Southern District of Florida. “Focuses of this initiative include poverty, climate change, global health, and religious and ethnic conflicts.”
Clintonworld vocally denied that Epstein had done so, but interestingly enough, CNN’s KFILE turned up the Clinton Global Initiative honoring Ghislaine Maxwell seven years later.
Years after she was publicly accused in civil lawsuits and the press of helping Jeffrey Epstein groom and sexually abuse minors, Ghislaine Maxwell was an honored guest at the prestigious Clinton Global Initiative conference in September 2013, according to newly uncovered photos, video and documents reviewed by CNN.
Footage discovered by CNN’s KFile shows Maxwell rising to applause during a CGI luncheon on ocean conservation, recognized alongside other “Commitment to Action” leaders.
Previously unreported information reviewed by CNN lists Maxwell among those recommended for complimentary access to the conference — a list that, according to a source familiar with it, indicates her access was personally recommended by either Bill or Hillary Clinton.
Clintonworld told CNN that they had no idea who she was which would indicate a great level of incompetence on its part, but it seems a whole lot less likely that Epstein’s consigliere was just coincidentally being honored and given a comp by an organization that he claimed to have helped set up.
Post-prison, Epstein was playing a major role in the non-profit sector. In 2011, he began his relationship with Bill Gates. 2013 saw an extended engagement with Gates and other billionaires involving non-profits. Maxwell set up her non-profit in 2012. It’s highly unlikely that any of this is coincidental.
After Epstein’s trial, the Clintons were careful of directly being seen with Epstein, but Maxwell could have been a useful cutout because she was not yet infamous.
