Declassified Russiagate emails are ‘damning’

Bedford said on the Hugh Hewitt show Wednesday that former President Barack Obama’s Director of the National Security Agency Mike Rogers allegedly felt pressured to reach a conclusion on the investigation, and that his team didn’t have enough time to review all the information.

“There was so much pressure coming from the most partisan of the leaders to reach a premeditated conclusion,” Bedford said about the newly released files.

Gabbard and CIA Director John Ratcliffe have been releasing evidence over the last few weeks, showing that the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment into Russia interfering with the 2016 presidential election was compromised.

A declassified statement that was published on Thursday revealed a senior U.S. intelligence official, turned whistleblower, said Obama officials pressured him to support flawed conclusions in the intelligence report.

Bedford said that corporate media is “obscuring” the significance of the information Gabbard and Ratcliffe have been releasing.

“We’re now learning that it looks like these intel officials didn’t follow procedures because they intended to reach a false conclusion implicating Trump and Putin in some sort of conspiracy,” Bedford said. “If they had followed procedures, they would’ve been caught doing that.”

Former DNI James Clapper wrote in the declassified email that the investigation was a “team sport.”

“We will facilitate as much mutual transparency as possible as we complete the report, but, more time is not negotiable,” Clapper wrote. “We may have to compromise on our ‘normal’ modalities, since we must do this on such a compressed schedule.”

Bedford said career analysts and less partisan people who were a part of the investigation were “silenced” for raising concerns.

FAMILIAR PHRASE FROM RUSSIAGATE INTELLIGENCE DOCS RAISES EYEBROWS

“[Clapper, then-CIA Director John Brennan and then-FBI Director James Comey] already decided they were going to invent a conclusion for which there was no evidence, and that is why they cut these corners,” she said.

Bedford said if there are prosecutions into the intelligence leaders’ conduct during the investigation, the media won’t be able to “ignore” the information anymore.
