America has always been the land of opportunity. That’s why people from around the world flock to our shores (including the north shore of the Rio Grande). But thanks to erstwhile President Joe Biden and his inane border policies, this land of opportunity has become fraught with criminal activity perpetuated by illegal aliens.
On Monday, an illegal from Honduras, Jose Armando Carcamo-Perdomo, was arrested after allegedly getting caught on camera kidnapping a woman and carrying her bear hug-style back to a Houston trailer home. The victim, a 44-year-old Chinese national and legal immigrant, was in Texas because she was lured there for work. She had been a masseuse working in New York but was promised a better-paying job in the Lone Star State. Someone drove her to Houston, where she promptly had her Chinese passport taken from her and was enslaved in a trailer home. She was exploited as a sex slave, beaten, and not given food or water. The torture lasted for five days before she was rescued. At one point during her captivity, she was able to briefly escape.
The victim called 9-1-1 for help but was allegedly recaptured by Carcamo, bound, and locked in a closet. Neighbors also alerted the police, who searched the trailer home and found the victim in a closet, which was barred shut by a board screwed into the wall. She immediately identified her attacker, whom the police already suspected, as he was hanging around the trailer, claiming to be just a worker. The victim is currently recovering from her ordeal in a hospital.
Meanwhile, Carcamo asserts that he is completely innocent. A statement from his lawyer claims:
Our client, Mr. Jose Carcamo, is shocked by the serious allegations brought forth against him and firmly maintains his complete innocence. He fully expects that the evidence will ultimately clear his name. We remind the public that under the United States Constitution, every individual is entitled to the presumption of innocence, the right to due process, and a fair trial. We expect law enforcement, the State of Texas, and the judicial system to honor these fundamental rights without prejudice or assumption.
The suspect crossed the southern border illegally in 2020 and almost immediately got into trouble. He was ordered to appear before immigration court after a traffic stop, but — surprise, surprise — he did not. And under Biden’s Department of Homeland Security, no one went looking.
Harris County Sheriff’s Office Lt. John Klafka told reporters, “She said she was a masseuse up in New York. She was offered a position down here in Houston that paid more money. So she was given transportation down here. Someone drove her. Said she spent about four or five days or so in a car driving down here. He obviously is not the one that drove her from New York.” Klafka added that “other people are involved.”
According to local news outlet Click2Houston, this Texas city is one of the worst in the country for trafficking, particularly sex trafficking. Why? Because of its proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border. Houston also has a major interstate highway, I-10, that connects it to other major cities across the country, like Miami and Los Angeles.
“This heinous criminal illegal alien was freely roaming our interior and terrorizing American communities,” DHS posted on X. “Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Noem, ICE is working day and night to remove the MILLIONS of illegal aliens in our interior. LAW AND ORDER WILL PREVAIL!”

This Chinese woman was a perfect target. She had no connections here in the States and no one to come looking for her. She was here for a better opportunity as a legal immigrant, yet an illegal alien took that away from her for a time. When leftists call for anything to stymie the deportation process of these criminals, this is what they are implicitly supporting. This woman’s story, and those of so many others who have been caught in the crosshairs of the machinations of criminal illegals, is the reason why getting these monsters out of the U.S. is incredibly important.
