House Republican leaders are holding a press briefing Tuesday morning as their Senate counterparts debate a rescissions bill the lower chamber passed in June that could make some Department of Government Efficiency funding cuts permanent.
The press briefing is set to start at 10 a.m. in Washington, D.C.
The rescissions bill, which the House passed last month in a 214-212 vote and is being negotiated by the Senate, would claw back $9.4 billion previously appropriated by Congress for international aid, media, and other programs.
