The pro-abortion crowd has been screaming and gnashing their teeth ever since the Dobbs v. Jackson decision overturning Roe v. Wade was announced. For decades, they lamented that there would be few abortions because fewer women would be able to seek this “care.”
If only that were true. If only more preborn babies had been spared the butchery that abortion offers desperate mothers.
Planned Parenthood just published its 2023-2024 report, and the number of abortions at Planned Parenthood clinics is breathtakingly awful: 402,230. The timing of the release — one day after Mother’s Day — seems particularly like a slap in the face.
As Catholic University Professor Michael New poignantly put it:

More abortions, less healthcare is absolutely right. That lack of care for women, men, and their defenseless children is becoming more prevalent and is also being funded by our taxpayer dollars. The federal government gave $792 million to Planned Parenthood this past year. This accounts for 39% of its revenue. The idea that this doesn’t violate the 1977 Hyde Amendment’s prohibition of federal taxpayer abortion funding is preposterous.
While abortions might be virtually nonexistent in some red states, overall, the national numbers aren’t falling. According to the Guttmacher Institute, “An estimated 1,038,000 abortions were provided by clinicians in states without total bans in 2024, a less than 1% increase from 2023 and an increase of 12% from 2020.”
Abortion is a cancer on the soul of our nation — and its malignant tumors are spreading.
For example, Planned Parenthood has now gotten into the cross-sex-hormone game. This is not exactly news — Planned Parenthood openly bragged about it in 2022. But Live Action recently exposed the fact that Planned Parenthood is facilitating the necessary medical approvals for minors to get cross-sex hormones and requires no therapeutic prerequisites for such services. In fact, according to the exposé, some clinics are happy to do a virtual consultation, and at clinics, parents don’t necessarily have to be in the examination room the entire time.

In light of the fact that the Department of Health and Human Services just released a 400-plus-page report on the little to no scientific support for “gender-affirming care,” this disregard for children and their well-being is just sickening.
Planned Parenthood is a parasite that feeds off human suffering. If it can’t murder a preborn baby in the womb, it will ensure that it facilitates a birthed child’s downward mental slide via cross-sex hormones. That is entirely how Planned Parenthood makes its money. Everything else is just window dressing to cover up the murder of the most vulnerable and the chemical distortion of the second-most vulnerable.
