Sudden Death and Delayed Deportation

Order Jamie Glazov’s new book, ‘United in Hate: The Left’s Romance with Tyranny, Terror, and Hamas’HERE.

In his State of the Union speech, President Trump honored Dalilah Coleman, only five years old in 2024 when Partap Singh, an illegal Joe Biden let into the country, crashed an 18-wheel truck into the family’s car. Singh was arrested last August is currently awaiting deportation. So is another Indian immigrant north of the border.

Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board has “rejected a request for Jaskirat Singh Sidhu to stay in Canada as a refugee,” the CBC reported on February 5, and the Canada Border Services Agency “is now under a legal obligation to remove Sidhu from Canada as soon as possible.” South of the border and around the world, people might wonder why Canada wants to send Sidhu back where he came from.

Sidhu arrived in Canada in 2014 and in 2018 hired on with a Calgary trucking company. On April 16, 2018, near Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Sing drove a loaded big-rig through a flashing stop sign and crashed into a bus carrying the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team en route to a playoff game. The crash killed players Logan Boulet, Adam Herold, Logan Hunter, Jaxson Joseph, Jacob Leicht, Connor Lukan, Logan Schatz, Evan Thomas, Parker Tobin, and Stephen Wack, all between the ages of 16 and 21.

Sidhu also took the lives of Broncos head coach Darcy Haugen, assistant coach Mark Cross, and athletic therapist Dayna Brons. Play-by-play announcer Tyler Bieber also perished, along with statistician Brody Hinz and bus driver Glenn Doerksen. For profiles and photos of victims see this link. The deadly crash injured 13 others.

The RCMP charged Sidhu with 16 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and 13 counts causing bodily injury. In July 2019 Sidhu pleaded guilty to all counts, blaming his “lack of experience.” He drew a sentence of eight years in prison.

Sidhu is a permanent resident but not a full citizen, and in March of 2022 Canada rejected his request to remain in the country. In July of 2022, Canada granted Sidhu day parole for six months, and in January of 2023 granted him full parole. In December 2023 a federal judge dismissed his application to remain in Canada. At this writing, eight years after killing 16, Sidhu remains in the country.

Canadians have a right to wonder if any of the Broncos’ players would have moved on to the NHL and represented their country in the Winter Olympics in Milan. Perhaps one would have scored in overtime during the final game, giving Canada the gold. After all, some of the best hockey players of all time come from small towns on the Canadian prairies. Detroit Red Wings star Gordie Howe, for example, was from Floral, Saskatchewan, with a population of about 8,000.

Sidhu nixed that prospect with his brand of “sudden death.” Deadly drivers in the United States illegally include Singh Sukdeep, who this month in Indiana ran a red light and killed Terry Schultz, 64. That came two weeks after Bekzhan Beishekeev, an illegal from Kazhakhstan, released into the country under Biden, crashed a semi-truck killing four people in Indiana.

Last October, Jashanpreet Singh plowed a big-rig into stopped vehicles on Interstate 10 in California,  killing three people. In 2022, Singh entered the U.S. illegally through the southern border and gained release into the country under Joe Biden.

Trump maintains that these drivers should never have been allowed to enter the country in the first place. During the SOTU speech, the president contended that the duty of the United States is to protect the people, not illegal aliens. Democrats refused to stand. The millions of illegals Biden let in form the Democrats’ imported electorate modeled after California, which registers illegals to vote when they get their driver’s license. That’s why Democrats oppose all efforts to deport the illegals, even the criminals among them.

If Canada can deport Sidhu, that strengthens the case that the USA should deport illegals, before they kill more innocents with trucks, guns or knives. Consider another example from north of the border.

Vince Weiguang Li, from the People’s Republic of China, came to Canada legally in 2001. Supposedly a softare engineer, he worked at menial jobs In 2008, on a bus headed for Winnipeg, Li murdered Timothy McLean, 22, dismembered the Canadian, and ate his innards.

Canadian courts found Li not responsible for the crime, and in 2017 he gained release from a mental institution. What Li is doing now is uncertain, but no record of efforts to deport the cannibal.

Meanwhile, Gordie Howe passed away in 2016, two years before Jaskirat Singh Sidhu killed off the Humboldt Broncos. The Gordie Howe International Bridge linking Detroit, Michigan, and Windsor, Ontario, is slated to open this year. Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is building economic bridges to China, and will permit the Communist regime to sell their electric cars in Canada. If Canadians thought Carney fails to stand on guard for thee it would be hard to blame them.
