Trans Teachers Behaving Badly | Frontpage Mag

A growing number of teachers in K-12 classrooms are identifying as transgender. And with their increasing numbers come a multitude of disturbing stories.

Gina Bernard, a male teacher who identifies as a woman, is facing possible termination from his position in a Bemidji, Minnesota school district after he read his minor students a sexually explicit work that included profane language and rape scenes without prior approval from the school district.

Bernard attempted to solicit support and sympathy with a lengthy post on social media.

“Dear friends,” he wrote, “The superintendent of Bemidji Area Schools is recommending my termination. This is due to my teaching a short story in creative writing class that was inadvertently left off of last year’s curriculum request. I attempted to have it added after facing discipline in 2023 for showing a movie version of the same story. To avoid future trouble, I attempted to add it during last year’s curriculum review cycle and due to a miscommunication with the curriculum specialist, it was not added. I assumed it had been and proceeded teaching the story. She has written the superintendent explaining the confusion. My department chair has also written in support, explaining the department policies and procedures, and that I have followed them. Nonetheless, the superintendent put me on two-week paid leave and then informed me on Monday that he would be convening a special school board meeting to recommend my termination.”

One need not be Sherlock Holmes to detect multiple holes in Bernard’s story.

The trans teacher admits that he had already faced disciplinary action in 2023 for screening a movie version of the same sexually explicit work without permission. Instead of heeding the school district’s obvious concern with teaching this inappropriate work to minors, he claims that he instead sought to teach the written version of this same work but—oops—“inadvertently” left it off the curriculum request form. What a coincidence!

Given the disciplinary action he faced for screening the movie version for his students, one would think he would double check that his request was approved before going ahead with his lesson plan. Now he is shocked, absolutely shocked, that anyone would recommend his termination!

Bernard is not the only trans teacher to find himself in hot water in recent months.

Rosie (formerly Zachary) Sandri, another man who identifies as a woman, was an English teacher at Red Oak High School near Dallas. After coming out as transgender in 2024, Sandri posted numerous videos on his gender transition to TikTok, including some filmed in his classroom after school hours.

In one video, Sandri described himself as a “transgender goddess” and celebrated experiencing “some gender euphoria” while at work due to students affirming his female identity and addressing him with female pronouns.

“At school today, I’m surrounded by kids. I teach sophomores, and I have these 15-16-year-olds who are completely on board. Who, when I told them I had changed my pronouns, jumped right into it,” Sandri described. “They call me ‘ma’am.’ They call me ‘Ms.’ … and it is incredibly affirming.”

These disturbing videos caught the attention of a Republican state legislator along with prominent social media account LibsofTikTok, which shared them with a wider audience. “This is the type of content that this trans teacher at @rohighschool is pushing on his open tiktok where students can follow him,” LibsofTikTok shared on X.

An outpouring of public anger ultimately led Sandri to reach an agreement with the school district to voluntarily resign.

The trans movement is known for a disturbing proclivity towards violence and the actions of one trans educator from Virginia only affirm this stereotype. This past November, transgender high school history teacher Dr. Sabrina Kent Morris was placed on leave by the Danville, Virginia school district after he posted a graphic on Instagram that threatened violence against those who reject gender ideology. Morris is a history and government teacher at George Washington High School.

The image contained a rainbow-hued hand holding a gun pointed directly at the back of a man’s head with the caption, “Put the pronouns back in the email.” The meme is an unambiguous threat of assassination towards anyone who refuses to endorse trans ideology. Posted just weeks after the assassination of Charlie Kirk by a man who sought to defend his trans “furry” lover, the threat of violence hit particularly hard.

The Danville School District has since scrubbed its website of any mentions of Dr. Morris, but no further disciplinary sanctions have been reported.

These individuals are only a small fraction of the transgender teachers now employed by K-12 public schools. Other trans teachers (some of whom have not yet been identified) have made videos dancing suggestively in the classroom, grooming students to accept radical gender ideology, and extolling the virtues of pronouns to preschoolers.

The Supreme Court’s decision—criticized by many on the right—in Bostock v. Clayton County (2020) made it illegal to fire or refuse to hire an individual for being gay or transgender. But standards of professionalism still apply. Trans teachers must not abuse their positions of influence by grooming children to adopt an LGBTQ identity or to accept the reality-warping claims of the trans movement. The actions of many trans teachers to date suggest that they merit an additional level of parental scrutiny.
