Robert Jenrick has warned Britain is facing the “fight of a generation” against home-grown Islamism and that “time is running out” to prevent an extremist takeover.
In his damning verdict, the Shadow Justice Secretary accused the Government and law enforcement of being willfully ignorant of the growing threat.
Mr Jenrick argued that decades of mass immigration and the “abject failure of integration” had allowed Islamists who were “unrespecting of British institutions of law and order, violent or openly threatening violence” to gain a foothold.
As a result, he suggested police forces were now either unable to fully enforce the law or were too intimidated to do so…
It is not the British government’s fault if “integration” of Muslim migrants has been “an abject failure.” It has done its best. The problem is with the Muslim migrants themselves. They want to take advantage of every benefit the generous British welfare state will lavish upon them, but they have no intention of “integrating” into a society of Infidels. They know that all truth begins and ends with Islam; they have no desire to “integrate” into a society that Infidels created, as those Infidels are, the Qur’an teaches, the “most vile of created beings.” (98:6) Nor will they violate the Qur’anic injunction “not to be friends with Jews and Christians, as they are friends only with each other.” (5:51)
“It’s a battle for the soul of the country. It begins by telling the truth,” he declared.
In his warning, Mr Jenrick pointed to West Midlands Police decision prohibiting Maccabi Tel Aviv supporters from attending an Aston Villa fixture as evidence of an apparent surrender to Islamist elements in British society.

The West Midlands police chief chose to prohibit the mostly Jewish supporters of the Maccabi Tel Aviv rugby team from attending a match, not because they were violent, but because their mere presence was likely to lead others to commit violent acts on them. This is a version of the well-known Heckler’s Veto.
For too long, the West Midlands police had been treating Muslims with kid gloves. The police had allowed local mosques to host “radical speakers” — those who, for example, praised Hamas’ attack on Israelis on October 7, 2023, and declared that Islam “is to dominate and not to be dominated.” But the government has now banned those mosques. And people are wondering why the West Midlands Police had failed to raise the alarm before.
The Shadow Justice Secretary highlighted several other incidents to support his claims, including what he described as “the almost paramilitary display” in Tower Hamlets last October to confront a Ukip protest….
Muslims streamed out by the thousands from the Tower Hamlets, then stood arrayed in serried ranks like soldiers, to confront a Ukip protest. This militarization of Muslim masses underlines Robert Jenrick’s worries over the rise in the U.K. of a militant and dominating Islam.
Mr Jenrick also referenced an incident in West Yorkshire where a senior West Yorkshire Police officer appeared to “hastily” attempt to placate the local Muslim community after “a 14-year-old autistic boy scuffed a copy of the Koran in the school playground”.
“The police felt it necessary to plead with local Islamists in order to protect the boy and his family for fear of what might happen otherwise,” Mr Jenrick wrote in The Telegraph.
That senior police officer in the West Midlands should not have gone hat-in-hand to plead with, and attempt to placate, the local Muslims, so that they would not riot, or try to harm the autistic 14-year-old and his family. It was quite enough for him to explain that the boy in question was autistic, with no understanding of the significance of “scuffing a Qur’an.” He should have firmly said that under those circumstances, the Muslims should not be raising any sort of fuss, and made clear that any demonstration by them would be quickly put down.
Islam is on the march in the U.K., where Muslims are easily offended and the police much too eager to placate and pander to them. Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick wants that to stop. He recognizes that the battle against an encroaching Islam (which too many call “Islamism”) is a titanic struggle that will decide, over the next half-century, whether Western civilization lives or dies. Many more men, as clear-eyed as Robert Jenrick, need to come forward to state this disturbing truth, while there is still time for the West to gird its loins, and fight in order to make sure that Muhammad’s saying — “Islam is to dominate and not to be dominated” — never comes to pass in the Western world.
