Order Michael Finch’s new book, A Time to Stand: HERE. Prof. Jason Hill calls it “an aesthetic and political tour de force.”
You simply cannot hate and/or mock the Left-dominated media enough. Even Christmas is not safe from being targeted by their joyless, ham-fisted propaganda to project their own campaign of cultural subversion onto some straw man they relentlessly label the “far-right.”
Politico published an eminently mockable piece, just in time for the most wonderful time of the year, titled – brace yourselves – “How the far right stole Christmas.” By “far right,” of course, the Left means anything to the right of Chairman Mao. It means any political opponent who believes in upholding God, family, and country. It means any political opponent who does not publicly avow that men can be women, that Islam means peace, and that Somalis first came to America on the Mayflower. It means any political opponent who simply defends the joyful traditions and sacred meaning of Christmas against demonic Left-wing subversion.
The subtitle of this Politico self-parody reads, “Seasonal traditions and good cheer are being repurposed to serve political ends.” This is a shameless projection of what the Left has actually done. It is the Left that has repurposed Christmas for political end. It is the Left that has sought for decades to dismantle and dilute the language and expressions of the Christmas season, because Leftists hate Christianity. They hate the unifying, apolitical message of joy and peace that Christmas brings to the whole world. The Left thrives on social division and resentment – indeed, it cannot survive without them – and the message of Christ the savior’s incarnation is a rejection of their false religion of social justice, which pits people against each other in identity politics warfare.
The Politico article opens with this humdinger of an observation about Christmas in Europe:
Far-right parties are claiming the festive season as their own, recasting Christmas as a marker of Christian civilization that is under threat and positioning themselves as its last line of defense against a supposedly hostile, secular left.
A supposedly hostile, secular left? Is Politico joking? And by the way, Christmas isn’t being “recast” as a marker of Christian civilization. It obviously, definitively is a marker of Christian civilization, and has been for two thousand years. Christmas, Christian – it’s right there in the name, you Politico morons.
Politico goes on to claim falsely that Fox News originated the notion of a “war on Christmas,” and now “European far-right parties more usually focused on immigration or law-and-order concerns have adopted similar language, recasting Christmas as the latest battleground in a broader struggle over culture.”
Do you want to know why the “far-right” – i.e., ordinary Europeans – have been expressing concerns about Christmas becoming a battleground over culture? Maybe it has something to do with their Christmas markets being transformed into security nightmares or cancelled altogether thanks to jihadist terrorism imported by the European globalist elites. Maybe it has something to do with the cultural Marxist dismantling of Christmas traditions in schools, museums, and even churches that have been diluted by Left-wing subversion. Maybe it has something to do with an actual war on Christmas being waged by the secular Left, while Muslim celebrations and traditions are upheld and promoted by fawning surrender monkeys like England’s Islamophilic King Charles.
The European Left hate and fear Italy’s Right-wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni (pictured above) who, Politico states ominously, “has made the defense of Christmas traditions central to her political identity.” The outlet claims that her party, Brothers of Italy, has turned the Christmas message into a political “spectacle” – by which Politico means a – gasp – Christmas-themed festival, “complete with Santa, ice-skating, and a towering Christmas tree lit in the colors of the Italian tricolor”:
For party figures, the symbolism is explicit. “For us, traditions represent our roots, who we are, who we have been, and the history that made us what we are today,” said Marta Schifone, a Brothers of Italy MP. “Those roots must be celebrated and absolutely defended.”
Yes, absolutely correct – they must be celebrated and defended.
The Left also despises the popular Alternative for Germany (AfD) party in Germany, which Politico notes has warned that Christmas markets are losing their “German character, amplifying disinformation about Muslim traditions edging out Christian ones.”
Disinformation? Seriously? There is a mountain of evidence, for anyone who cares to look past Politicos’ own disinformation, that Christmas markets are being targeted by Muslim terrorists and their Left-wing allies in toppling Western civilization.
Daniele Albertazzi, a professor at the University of Surrey, told Politico that after Islamic terrorist attacks between 2010–15, “Christianity became a cultural marker” for the Right, “a way to portray themselves as defenders of traditional family, tradition and identity.”
Gee, maybe that’s because conservatives are the defenders of traditional family, tradition and identity. The Politico author concedes that the Left has a “discomfort with religion in public life,” which is putting it mildly. She defends Progressives for emphasizing “inclusivity by using neutral phrases like ‘holiday season,’ which for the far right amounts to cultural self-loathing.” That’s because it does. It is a loathing of the Christian identity of the continent once known as Christendom.
“Christmas remains politically potent precisely because it is emotive, tied to family rituals, childhood memories and local identity,” Politico concludes, suggesting that the “far right” is exploiting the emotional power of Christmas for political reasons. Politico willfully ignores the demonstrable fact that the European multiculturalists want to deconstruct and destroy those rituals, memories and identity, while simultaneously facilitating the surging Islamization of the continent, precisely in order to eradicate the continent’s Christian identity.
Conservative social media users predictably blasted the idiotic Politico piece. Christmas is “Not a ‘far right’ concept,” wrote podcast host Mel K. “politico is such a joke.”
“Wow, imagine marking Christmas as being Christian. Revolutionary thinking in Europa,” posted journalist Chris Tomlinson.
“‘Those dang Christians claiming the celebration of their Savior’s birth as their own.’ You might want to ask yourself why you’re being ratioed,” “MAHA and MAGA mom” Ellie A tweeted at Politico.
The mockery was well-earned, but we must be on guard not to take lightly the Left’s campaign of anti-Christian subversion. We must resist it with a righteous fury.
