Trump again blasts ‘wacky’ MTG, saying she is the ‘cause’ of all her problems

President Donald Trump again took to social media on Sunday night to blast former political ally Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA). It was the latest criticism of the Georgia Republican by the president in their very public fallout at the end of last week.

Trump blasted Greene as “wacky” and scolded her for attempting to portray herself as a victim. He then called her a “traitor” to the country.

“Wacky Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown (Remember, Green turns to Brown where there is ROT involved!) is working overtime to try and portray herself as a victim when, in actuality, she is the cause of all of her own problems,” Trump posted on his Truth Social account on Sunday night. “The fact is, nobody cares about this Traitor to our Country!”

Trump and Greene have been having a war of words since the end of last week, stemming from the controversy surrounding the release of the Epstein files. Greene is one of the four original Republicans who supported releasing the files, which, according to reports, went against Trump’s preferences. The public rift began when the president announced he was withdrawing his support for Greene and would instead support a candidate in Georgia who would run against her in the state’s primary election in 2026.

Meanwhile, Greene defended her political record, stating she “stood with President Trump when almost no one else would.” She also criticized the president for calling her a traitor and lamenting that it put a “target” on her back and put her “life in danger.”

Still, she said she was supportive of the president.

“I stood with President Trump when almost no one else would,” Green said in a post on X. “I campaigned for him all over this country and spent millions of my own dollars helping him get elected.”

“That’s why being called a ‘traitor’ isn’t just hurtful, it puts a target on my back and puts my life in danger,” Greene added. “And it only divides our country even more.”

“But even through this, I still support the Trump administration and want to see it succeed for the American people,” she said.

Greene also posted how her fallout with the president led to a bomb threat against her construction company’s office building and “hoax pizza deliveries” to the houses of her family members and herself.

“President Trump’s unwarranted and vicious attacks against me were a dog whistle to dangerous radicals that could lead to serious attacks on me and my family,” Greene said in a post on Sunday evening.
